|
Police are appealing for information, witnesses and dash cam footage following an incident in the Baldock/Letchworth area. At around 7.40pm last night (Friday 13 March), a small blue Peugeot collided with a woman in Baldock Lane before driving off. Emergency services attended the scene and the woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle, who is known to the woman, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. The man, aged 42 and from Letchworth, is in custody at this time. Detective Sergeant Nick Kent, who is investigating, said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who may be able to help our enquiries. If you saw the collision, or you saw the small blue Peugeot around the time of 7.40pm please get in touch. I am also keen to hear from anyone who might have seen the victim as the car drove off. “If you were in the area and have a dashcam, doorbell camera or CCTV, please do check this and get in contact if you have captured footage that might help. That might be the incident itself or the events leading up to it or the aftermath. “Please get in contact by emailing me at Nick.Kent@herts.police.uk quoting ISR 708 of 13 March.” You can also report information online at herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org. | ||
